On Thursday 21^sNovember we welcomed two musicians from the London Mozart Players to perform and work with the children. After a mini introduction in assembly, the musicians presented their instruments to pupils in KS2, with children taking part in a question and  answer session before many of them being given the opportunity to ‘have a go’ on a Violin or a Cello.   

Children in Year 3 took part in a workshop where they learned how to play a simple piece on the Violin or the Cello which then became part of a class performance in the whole school concert at the end of the day which included many different styles and a lot of audience and even teacher participation.  It was wonderful to see how some of the children became totally engrossed in the music.

We would like to thank Grayshott Concerts who funded this day for us - they run a series of Classical Music Concerts in Grayshott each year as well as opportunities like this for the local community.
