Assembly time

I had the chance to attend the Grayshott Parish Council Assembly last Friday night. This is an annual event and a great chance to see what is going on in the running of the village. It was great to hear about plans to develop the skate park at the recreation ground which should make it more exciting and inviting for our children. It was also lovely to hear from Hilary Loder about her team’s work relaunching ‘The Base’ at St. Luke’s Church which I know is popular with our pupils on a Friday night.

The event was also a chance for me to share some of the projects we have coming up at school, such as our Community Art project on the 5th July. You’ll be hearing more about that next month. The involvement of the village community is so beneficial to what we do here in school.

An example of this is the £600 we have just received from the Grayshott Arts Society which is enabling us, this term, to provide textile workshops from Vanessa Rolf, fellow of the Royal College of Art.
