• Ecocoding Show

  On Friday last week, your child took part in a whole school virtual ‘Ecocoding Show’.  Years 1 to 6 enjoyed a 30 minute assembly where they learnt more about how and why we should reduce, reuse, recycle and refuse to help protect our environment.

   

  Professor Trice from ‘Get with the Program’ (a Hampshire County Council fund-assisted computing initiative) was cast into the classrooms and along with the show that her team had produced, demonstrated to the children how coding to program computers and industry robots can help us make environmentally friendly consumer choices. The children learnt about creating algorithms and debugging the code that they had written which is part of the primary computing curriculum. Ask your child what the words algorithm and debugging mean!  Years 4, 5 and 6 also carried out fun workshop challenges.

  Virtual Open Evening/Afternoon

   

  We are so sorry that we are unable to show you around our wonderful school at the moment, due to Covid-19. In place of our usual tours, we are delighted to offer prospective parents an invitation to attend a virtual open evening/afternoon via Zoom.

   

  This will be an opportunity to meet the headteacher and senior leadership team, listen to a presentation about the school and ask any questions. Please feel free to send in any questions you may have before the session and we will try to ensure that these are answered during the presentation.
