  • Careers Week

    Fri 15 Jul 2022

It was wonderful to hold our first ever careers week in school. Thank you so much to all the people who were part of it. We really brought the community into our school with some engaging presenters from many different walks of life. It was great to see our children buzzing about all the possible paths they could take in their lives. Red Class were so inspired, they even opened up their own Pizzeria for the afternoon. Not only that, but our children had the opportunity to go out into the community and experience a taste of work. Children in Gold Class, experienced lots of different jobs, all because of the generosity of our local businesses, who we would like to thank enormously.

  • Year 5 visit Stubbington

    Thu 07 Jul 2022

Our intrepid Year 5 children have been having a wonderful time this week at Stubbington. I had the chance to go and visit them and see the great facilities they have there. There has been a full programme of activities and challenges for them to face, starting with making their own beds (so there’s no excuse once they get home for them not doing it from now on!). I’m sure they’ll come home with some great stories of their adventures. Their good behaviour was singled out for praise by site staff during the fire drill they had earlier in the week. Also, they saw badgers!

  • Moving Up Day

    Fri 01 Jul 2022

Children had the chance to spend a few hours in their new classrooms today. As Gold Class went on their transition days to Secondary school, so it was the turn of the rest of the school to get a taste of what next year will look like. Blue Class found out what it’s like to be Juniors. Silver Class had a chance to explore their Year 6 classroom (and beyond) and meet their new teacher, Mrs Ashton-Smith. Purple Class managed to make the transition to “Ye Olde School Buildinge” and find out what Year 4 feels like. It was an interesting morning for staff and pupils alike
